“Falling” is a Serum 2 preset inspired by the theme song “Falling” from the TV series
*Twin Peaks*, performed by Julee Cruise and written by David Lynch and Angelo Badalamenti.
To be more precise, it’s a deep, smoky-sounding bass guitar that sounds best
when played in the lower register.
I've added finger slides to make the whole thing sound a bit more realistic. These are assigned to the keys “C-1 to B-1”; everything else is played on the keys “C-0 to G8”.
I’ve also added more variation to the finger slides, such as random sample starts and random pitch changes, but only very subtly so it remains realistic.
5 macro buttons are assigned
Macro Button 1: E-GUITAR (Adds a subtle boost to the bass)
Macro Button 2: FINGER SLIDE (Controls the volume of the finger slide)
Macro Button 3: REVERB
Macro Button 4: DECAY (Reverb)
Macro button 5: BODE (Lets the guitar resonate, giving it its character)
The demo is saved as “Clip 1 through Clip 3.” You can use these as a guide for how to draw the finger slides. The preset is very dependent on “Velocity”; the lower the velocity is set, the quieter the guitar sounds. However, “Velocity” also ensures that the lower the velocity is set, the more it sounds like a pluck(At a very low velocity, it sounds like a dull thud on the guitar).
Demo BPM: 120
Have Fun!! :)
