Primer's sub mirrors Syntorial's, whose sub is built for ear training. So two clearly distinguishable options (round/bright). Triangle already plays the "nearly pure low fundamental" role;
If you don't need the 2 oscillators you can transpose Osc 2 up one octave, and then use Osc 1 for the sine sub
