This preset is built for expressive, playable metal guitar parts — not static MIDI.

Controls & Expression

Velocity
Controls note length and volume.
Soft velocity = short, tight chugs
High velocity = longer sustain and more aggression

Pitch Bend
Used for realistic slides and bends.
Designed for legato transitions and glide-style riffs.

Mod Wheel (CC1)
Blends between palm-muted and sustained articulations.

MIDI Envelopes (Ableton Live)
Intended to be automated via MIDI envelopes for detailed articulation control
(slides, transitions, and articulation switching).

@Unrealix, You can use whatever works. For this preset i used Neural DSP Archetype Gojira. For Heavy Metal Guitar , iusually go with Gojira or ToneForge Misha Mansoor- I don't even remember exactly here. In this case, i used two instances of PhasePlant with the same preset, diferent AMP settings, and paned them left and right.
