IMPORTANT READ!!!!!

The Pump Panel Reconstruction
is a Serum 2 preset that attempts to recreate the “Confusion (Reconstruction Mix)” acid sound from the movie “BLADE” as best as possible. After days of hard work and research, I think I've succeeded—it doesn't get any better than this. But I'm open to being proven wrong—the competition is on.

(Orig BPM is 136.200)

"First of all, it's very important not to touch the "Main Volume" control; even the smallest adjustment can change the sound. Do everything in your DAW's Mixing section. The sound is saved to "Clip 1."
The macro knobs labeled "SC-1 --> SC-4" should be positioned either on the far left or far right; the default is left. They change the sound; use them individually, not all at once."
"If needed, you can activate the "Phaser" or "Flanger." I left them off by default, but they sound good."

The demo track was created with the preset to demonstrate it.

What is different from the preset that already exists in "Serum 1"?

Probably the most important thing is the fact that only a normal bass sound and an LP filter were used. The original BLADE sound, however, was created with a Roland TB-303, and this one doesn't have an LP filter, but rather a ladder filter—an important detail. The ladder filter(New in Serum 2) gives the sound its specific character. For this, I didn't use a normal bass sound wavetable, but rather an original bass sound from a TB-303—also an important detail. An "Electro Harmonix Big Muff" distortion pedal was used in the original bass sound. I got a VST version of the "Electro Harmonix Big Muff" (the free plugin from Nembrini Audio - Big Stuff). I then distorted the sound until it sounded like the original, and then created an "Impulse Response" from this sound. I then loaded this into "Serum 2" and into the "Convolve" effect, which then distorted the bass with the Impulse Response; there's no audible difference compared to the VST plugin.

I then created an EQ match of the original "Blade Soundtrack" using Fabfilter Pro-Q4 and then recreated it in Serum 2 with the EQs.

Perhaps this information will help someone. You should look into Impulse Responses; it can be truly magical.

Enough chatter, have fun!!
