@Prod_PB, [Part 3] There were a lot of pro designers in my day as well. I wasn't much of a designer back then, but I tried. Serum 2 makes it so much easier, but i'm not gonna be the boomer and tell you "kids these days don't wanna make presets from scratch." I didn't want to either. I downloaded as many wavetables as I can, just to avoid that.

One thing I can tell you, is that extending 808s is a really cool thing you can do on serum 2. Before the update, Sublab was my only option.

@Prod_PB [Part 2], and now using Serum 2 feels better than Analog Lab V, Omnisphere, and Electra 2. It was a lot of power. Almost too much for me to handle. Some presets were bangers, some didn't feel right, but I didn't care too much. Back in 2023, I was using a pretty old computer, and I felt like it could break down at any day. I wanted a place where I could keep the ones I made. I still remember that. Even after getting a brand new computer, I feel more or less the same.

@PROD_PB, [Part 1] It's okay to edit presets that other people made. In the long term, it will help you to understand how to shape the sounds you have into something that fits with your imagination. That's what I did when i was using Serum 1, and when Serum 2 dropped, the sampling feature made me really happy. Now, the only reason I would ever download a one-shot sample pack is because of Serum 2. Convolve is extra helpful for morphing your sounds even further. That's what I did...

@Skywalker, just intimated by many skilled authors on here. It's not a competition, however sometimes I question whether I should post my presets since there's others that are better than what I offer. Maybe I'm wrong. I do try to give you guys the best I can, still push through 💯🫶

@Skywalker, I appreciate that. Maybe I'm putting too much pressure on myself. There's so many talented and pro designers here I'm sort of self conscious about how good my preset will be to others compared to other authors. I really don't try and think about it that deep, but at the same time the presets I create are something that people would genuinely use and consider value. Still though. Is it enough or am not as good as the pros on here? Regardless, I hope people find value in my presets.
