Serum > Pluck

I know they are all based on either sawtooth or square waves, but I cant seem to nail the eq and whatever makes them hit so hard. Looking for the plucks, lead, and chords (lead and chords are the same synth seemingly). The chords are def a sawtooth wave with a few effects (unfiltered tho), but they arent pure sawtooth from what i discerned). Link to the song:

@ultramarinedist, this brought it a little closer to the pluck from the beginning, but its still a bit off. the original sounds a lot more "punchy"- i suspect it has to do with either filters or eq, and maybe distortion, but no matter how much I play around with these in vital, i cant get it to sound right

This is pulse width modulation - you take a square waveform, select the type of PWM synthesis and automate the fader or link it to ADSR, another way on some vst you can take two sawtooth waves to unscrew in different phases so that the sound disappears and change the phase of the wave on one of the oscillators and the third way is to take saw and let's put a waveshaper on the mixer channel and give it a square wave and automate the preamp
